Chicago Convention 2009
Current mood: accomplished

I had an Awesome time at the Convention. It was alot of fun and I wish I could rewind time and do it again! :lol: I'm not going to bore you with all the details of what was talked about cause I'm sure most people are watching video of it on youtube but there are some highlights.

Alona as usual was her sweet beautiful self. I swear that girl has perfect skin. And she looked really cute with the braids in her hair. She also sang at the dessert party and sounded really good. She was very coy about the next eppy and said it's really good and it's her fave of all the eppys she's been in.

Traci was lots of fun on stage. She's so pretty in person and has a great smile. She had on this crazy top that was alot of red and a bunch of other colours. Very funkadelic. It was hilarious when she called her Mom and her Mom kept calling her "a little shit". So funny!! And she took pictures of the crowd. She also sang some Patsy Kline at Karaoke on Friday night. She sounded absolutely amazing even tho she said she thought she didn't sing very well. I told her what she could hear with the speakers around her and what we could was two different things and what we heard was made of awesome!!! Alona came over to Traci and said the same thing and a few of us told her the same thing I said to Traci.

Steve Carlson's concert was great. He was fighting a bit of a cold but that didn't make any difference in how he sang. He had a good turn out as well which I was really glad about.

Richard Speight's panel was freakin hilarious! He wanders around the stage and looks so comfortable. The stuff he comes up with and the stories he tells had me in stitches. In particular his funniest story was after he filmed the CSI scene, the guy who was playing another cop said to Richard, "hey I left something for you as a goodbye gift." So Richard goes to his trailer and there was a pair of pumpkin colored bikini briefs and he's all WTF?! So he goes around asking to see what was up, and then the guys in the production department give him the actual gift - beers and a thank you card. So, then he thinks that this is a prank from Jared and Jensen. And he joked about having to look up at them to ask and they looked down and said no it wasn't them. So, he can't figure it out. So finally, a guy from the department comes and says, "look we know whose underwear it is." And it's Misha's. Per Misha I guess the underwear was from a fan and he was eating soup and spilled it all on his outfit, so when someone on the crew washed it they thought that the underwear was Richard's, so that's why it was in his trailer! So he grabs the underwear and puts it up on I think one of their bulletin boards and writes something like "This smells like Cas" on the back of it. Hilarious!!
He also spent a lot of time talking about Changing Channels and working on that, how he loved the plot twist, and really enjoyed the sitcom scene a lot.

Aldis was so cute on stage. Although I wished he would have taken his jacket off and only had on a nice tight t-shirt on. I loved when he called his GF too. Total Awww moment. He was asked "who would be your leading lady" And he said his GF and he called her and told her that in front of all of us. He spoke a lot about Leverage, the technical parts of filming the fight scene in Supernatural, there was a lot of talk about him now knowing how to do some of the things they're doing on Leverage.

Jim was of course awesome! He's so funny and I love when he walks out with a jacket on and then takes it off and he usually has some kind of funny shirt on. It was something like "Kill em all. Let God sort em out" He's such a nutter. Misha interrupted Jim's panel and he comes out dressed in a suit with tie! Very dapper!! He said to Jim "I have a question. Don't you think it's rude that all these people come here and you can't even dress up for them and wear a tie?" or something like that. He's so silly! Jim spoke a lot about having to deal with Bobby now being in the wheelchair. He spoke about his book and how it has helped others and was a bigger deal than he thought it would be. And he spoke about Harper's Island and something he just finished with John Wayne's grandson, who happens to live across the street from him and has for like 6 years but neither one has ever met each other before. LOL

Misha looked absolutely amazing! He was still wearing his suit and He was funny and sarcastic as well and it was hard to get a straight answer out of him. He just rambles on and on and he's so entertaining. The hating Australia thing was so funny. I think he loves to make fans nuts. :lol:

The dessert party was yummy although they were a little stingy on the desserts and were slow to bring stuff out. Of course some people were making piggies of themselves when others hadn't had a chance to even go out yet to get some. I missed the celebs coming in and going table to table as we wanted to get some good shut eye for the boys in the morning. We did run into Misha for a second out in the hall. He looked a little confused about where to go. He looked hot tho as he was still in the suit from earlier in the day!

The J's were amazing. At the breakfast they looked kinda tired like they just crawled out of bed but once they started to wake up they really got going and were a blast. They both looked amazing of course. Jared in his plaid short sleaved button up shirt and Jensen in his black shirt and pants. They spoke a lot about Changing Channels and the last episode that just aired. They talked about working with some of the guest stars. They joked about getting new mopeds and that the ones that they had before were for 13 years and under and 120 pounds and under, so they have grown up ones now. HEHEHE

They ended with telling a story about an upcoming episode where Samantha Ferris almost killed them with a prop gun loaded with blanks and how it got jammed and she was waving it around in front of them as she panicked over what was wrong, and then freaked out over them panicking. The boys were so funny while mimicking everything that happened during that ordeal and they were jumping around the stage pretending to wave guns. LOL Jared kept playing with the microphone and it broke apart in the middle. Every time he touched the mic it would have bad static, so Jensen had to slap his hands away.

During their panel they were great once again. They play so well off one another. Poor Jared was sweating so bad and he got a box of kleenex and instead of taking a few he put the whole box down his shirt. The Jensen highlight during the panel was when someone asked about life goals and he said one of his goals was to become a father. *sigh* Total AWWWW moment!

They spoke a lot about Changing Channels. They also spoke about working with guest actors, especially playing with different actors who were playing the same characters, and working with Colin Ford and Brock Kelly and the guy who played old Dean. Both guys kept playing with their microphones and screwing the tops off and Jared mumbled something about "voiding the warranty" on them. Goofballs! They also talked about what they like to do in Vancouver and what they like about Vancouver and foods they like to eat. They spoke about their characters, how they are and are not like them, and Jensen had a question about Ten Inch Hero and that they wanted to put extensions in his hair but he knew it'd be long enough by the time they started filming cause he normally gets a haircut a week. His hair grows fast!!!

They were asked "What Disney character would you be?" and Jensen said Grumpy and Dopey. HEHEHE And some girl started off her question with "don't laugh at this, but I wrote my question down" and he and Jared bursted out laughing. And laughed WAY too long hahaha. Jared looked like he was still about to laugh again before they got serious.

And at the very end of the panel Jared was auctioning off a watch that he wore as Sam in season 3 and it was all going to charity for his mom and her school and students who were saving up money for a competition next year. And it went for $3500! Jared looked like he was about to cry, he was so touched. So he gave the auction winner a big hug. And I guess when she went up to get autographs, Jared gave her the shirt (from the set department of the show) off of his back!

They also looked like they were having fun during the photo ops which was just before the panels as well since they were smiling in everyone's pictures. And of course they looked amazing in all of them.

The autograph's after the panel they blew thru pretty fast. I think Creation had them on a tight leash. HAHA

Jared had a dark t-shirt with a v-neck and really short sleaves on at this point and OMG looked totally gorgeous. He was still glistening from sweat and he his chest hair was peaking out of the v-section of his shirt and his biceps were bulging. I nearly died at the sight! I'm a total Jensen girl but man Jared was looking WOW!!!!!!!!!!

I actually had a chance to congratulate Jensen on his engagement to Danneel during the autographs. I wished them much happiness and he said "Thank you, we are very happy" Of course he had this beautiful smile and a glow on his face. You can tell he is very happy!!

Julie's panel was after the autographs and she was cute as a button. She did really well on stage by herself. In VanCon she was with Alona & Traci but she held her own at this Con! She's also very pretty in person and has a beautiful smile. Of course she got asked about kissing Jensen and she said it's so technical that it's not romantic and there are so many people around while filming and she really couldn't remember.

Rob Benedict "aka Chuck" was after Julie's panel and he was so quirky. He's so much like Chuck in his mannerisms and the way his voice cracks when he's nervous and laughs. It's so funny to see that he's alot like the character. He really seemed to enjoy his time on stage and enjoyed the fans. He was asked mostly about the most recent episode he was in and about Becky "the rabid fan" and how Chuck loves her. LOL He also talked about the band that he is in as well. Can't remember the name of it tho.

After Julie and Rob's photo ops and autographs that was the end of the Convention. A good time was had and this is the first convention where a fan didn't ask an utterly ridiculous wanky question!! Amazing!!! I think the fear of the other fans going off on them kept them from doing that. HAHAHA Go us!!!!

That's pretty much the end of it all and it's looking like my last Convention since I didn't renew for next years. It's getting way too expensive and for the amount of time you get with the celebs I'm not finding it worth it anymore. I've been to 5 Cons so I've had lots of fun and if I had lots of money I wouldn't think twice about going but I can't justify it anymore as much as I love the boys and love seeing them. 2009 Fan Campaign: Who Supports Supernatural?

Heather and I started this ‘little website project' around 2 ½ years ago when we were worried Supernatural would not see a Season 3. We thought we'd create a petition or two, send a postcard or two and call it a day...And then we were so inspired by YOU, the Supernatural fan.

So, we all came together and raised a few bucks ($5k!) for some awesome charities in 2008. And in 2009, we thought, "Let's do something a little bold and a bit crazy. Let's double our goal." And today because of this amazing group of people known as the "Supernatural fandom," I have no doubt in my mind we will meet this lofty goal in this global recession. The outpouring of generosity, creativity and overall amazing kindness that has been shown in this fandom is JUST. PLAIN. AWESOME!

Here are a few examples. (Most folks I will not mention by name, because I know they do not do what they do for recognition.) I am going to start with a few that absolutely deserve name recognition and those are the companies that have partnered with us.

These folks are: Creation Entertainment, Cinequest.com and Titan Magazine. These amazing people have donated a great deal of Supernatural "swag" to help us provide fun incentives for participants to donate monthly. We made requests...And they immediately said YES! Their partnership and belief in Supernatural fans means the world to us. So they deserve a big THANK YOU!

Back before we even kicked off this fan initiative, there were a bunch of AWESOME women working behind the scenes, coming up with ideas and creating the designs for our Café Press store. These ladies truly are the unsung heroes. They jumped on board out of the kindness of their hearts and there is not a way to thank them enough, truly! If I could, I would!

Next, I want to mention all of the people that I consider close friends. These people are cheerleaders day in and day out and tirelessly promote the '09 fan initiative online and offline without us even having to ask! They keep us going. And I would not have met them without Supernatural. Hard to imagine! I send these girls bear hugs.

Then there are the people who we have never met in person by wanted to write stories about us and link to us. Some have even mentioned us in their podcasts!!! These people floor me! To do this for strangers means more than I can properly put into words!

I'd be remiss if I did not mention a wonderful Supernatural fan that has not only been donating every month, but went even further. To help push us ahead, he's sold stuff on eBay to come up with more money to donate! This kind of commitment amazes me. ☺

And there are not one, but two very special women who, due to medical conditions, are confined to their homes but are still contributing to the cause! These people literally have brought me to tears. If I was in their situation I'd probably feel sorry for myself and would not contribute much to society. But not these girls!! They are awesome, awesome, AWESOME in my book.

I cannot forget the fabulous folks who have donated their beloved Supernatural items to us (some of them homemade!), allowing us to give away more goodies each month. I'm 100% certain these things are also contributing to our success!

Another person I will thank by name is Alice Jester. It's no secret that she thinks we're a bit "coo coo" with our fundraising goal, but she still supports us with her blogs by publicizing the initiative AND by donating her Amazon.com commissions from her website! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Alice!

Also, the CW Network and Traci Dinwiddie deserve many thanks. As you know, we're giving away a script that Traci signed. Just like Creation, Cinequest.com and Titan, she immediately said YES when we asked if she'd assist us. Anyone who donates $100 or more USD in June is eligible to win the script. The donation does not have to come in a lump sum. You can donate weekly, etc. And we'll have some very cool signed items that the CW helped us with in the coming months and we're eternally grateful for their contributions as well!

In closing, I want to emphasize my gratitude for each and every one of you fellow fans. It is a tough economy, but you have shown that there are so many wonderful people in this world that want to support animals and you want to support your favorite TV show and your favorite actors. Your good deeds are not going unnoticed.

And if I missed anyone, don't despair! We are a little over two months from this campaign's conclusion, so I know I'll be writing at least one more story just like this very soon!!

Jim Beaver's New Book - Life's That Way

Jim Beaver (Supernatural, Deadwood, Harper's Island) needs our help to promote his new book that is coming out April 14, Life's That Way. Let's see what we can do to help.

Here is a little note from Jim and also a synopsis of the book!

LOTS of people are messaging me about book signings in their cities and about TV talk-show appearances. Well, here's the scoop on both.

Sponsoring a book tour costs publishers and bookstores money, for the travel and other aspects. Some are reluctant to do tours unless they're confident that they'll sell enough books at each signing to pay for the cost. Makes sense. Personally, I think, just by the outpouring of support I've had here and on MySpace the past few days, that there would be considerable turnout for a tour. My publisher has scheduled a few signings in the L.A. area, and a good turnout would certainly influence the decision whether to have signings in other cities. But if the L.A. ones don't sell enough books to cover costs, they're sure not to want to spend the money it takes to send me elsewhere. So if you're not doing anything on the 16th or 23rd of April or 11th of May, and you're in the L.A. area........

As to the talk shows, I've been terribly disappointed. I've got what you might call a perfect storm going on here: a book coming out, a new highly-touted TV series premiering, and a lot of action for Bobby on Supernatural, within a matter of days of each other. Yet the response we've been getting from Oprah, Ellen, Good Morning America, Today, etc. is that "With the economy so depressed, no one wants to hear about a "sad" book." Maybe there's more to it than that, but that's what we're hearing back. (Of course, while there are tears aplenty, I prefer to think of my book as uplifting and even funny at times. But then, I've read it. ;-) PLEASE: I do NOT advocate kidnapping Oprah's pet iguana and holding it for ransom.
If you want to send a postcard, fine, but no iguana-napping! Hear me?

As the old Bartles & Jaymes commercial guys used to say, "Thanks for your support." I mean it.

Synopsis

A special book about the end of one life and the beginning of another.

Life's That Way is a modern-day Book of Job. In August 2003, Jim Beaver, a character actor whom many know from the popular HBO series Deadwood, and his wife Cecily learned what they thought was the worst news possible— their daughter Maddie was autistic. November 5, 2008 - www.SupportSupernatural.com announces its inaugural fan fundraiser goal has beenexceeded! Support Supernatural coordinated a fundraiser as a tiny way to show how much fans appreciate the incredibleamount of amazing work Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki put forth on the CW Network’s Supernatural. A little story based on Season 3 Supernatural Episode Titles...

My friend JennaGayle thought this story up as we were all playing the name game on email from our respective jobs or catching up on our emails when we got home cause unlike Sammy who can play all day (:p) some of us actually work!! HAHAHA

WINCHESTER SOLDIERS-------------------

It started out with the MAGNIFICENT SEVEN – Jenn, Lindsay, Heather, Kaye, Dink, Mel and Lisa. Just a wonderful group of girls who all shared an obsession. An obsession with a stellar television show called "Supernatural" starring the immensely talented Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki. We all started chatting on the network's message board and quickly agreed that this show was worth our time, effort and money. We all met in person and quickly became great pals. We then learned that "Supernatural" may not come back for a third season and we all worked very hard by joining in writing campaigns, promoting the show everywhere we could, and alerting our local media about this wonderful show that we can't get enough of. The word FINALLY came that our show would return for a third season and all agreed…phew THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT.

When spoilers starting coming for the third season and we learned that the network was forcing the wonderful creator to add two girls to the cast. That was the day the fandom officially lost their minds. Talk about a BAD DAY AT BLACK ROCK, we had never seen so much strife and arguing among the fandom, the fandom that literally made television history with our dedication.

The third season was underway, and the mood and feel of the show was so different, but we still couldn't get enough of the struggle of the Winchesters, and the amazing performances of the lead actors and the chemistry they share on screen. Despite the fact that the performances by both lead actors far surpasses most of the actors getting main stream award, you best not head to SIN CITY and bet a lot of money on recognition from the mainstream for Ackles and Padalecki or the show.

The fandom still was voracious for more and more. We all headed to EYECON, a convention held in Orlando. Many of our favorite actors were slated to appear, including Jared, Jim Beaver, Samantha Ferris, Chad Lindberg, Gabriel Tigerman and Alona Tal. However, we seven were just as excited to see each other because we all live so far apart!!! We had an AMAZING time which led to many, many fun BEDTIME STORIES to share each evening. Alas, as we awoke on Monday, with the RED SKY AT MORNING, we realized it was time to go home and count the days until the next excursion where we would see each other.

We came back to see the message boards alive and kicking and very unhappy with how Season three was shaping up compared to the previous seasons. In addition after the effect that the writer's strike had on the remainder of the season, we learned of a possible actors strike. To those of us who enjoyed the direction and changes in season three, it felt like we had been cut and FRESH BLOOD was drawn again. We needed a gift, a gift of superb writing, and assurance of longevity of the show. We needed a VERY SUPERNATURAL CHRISTMAS to deliver us these gifts.

Just as things felt like they were looking up, more news starting coming in about the fate of the CW Network, and a devil named Dawn had botched up the best show she had on the network by not supporting or promoting "Supernatural". The fandom wished we had the Malleus Maleficarum to deal with the witch.

I started sending postcards, E-mails, and posting on every board I could find to make it clear the network needed to support the show, the fans and they would get many, many more viewers with just a little effort. I can only hope the PTB DREAM A LITTLE DREAM OF ME when they think of "Supernatural".

It will always be a MYSTERY SPOT to all of the fans of the show why we have to work so very hard to sell a product that essentially sells itself with the acting, writing and direction. We feel that we are constantly going to battle, but we have JUS IN BELLO on our side. We are not afraid, and will not back down and we will be GHOSTFACERS.

Even though the MAGNIFICENT SEVEN live far apart, we share the cause of the battle and only need to make a LONG DISTANCE CALL and we will all be there to do battle in a heart beat. I can't help but wonder if TIME IS ON MY SIDE, there is only two seasons left for Supernatural we think, and will the network make it that long?

In the end, we will be victorious, we know the cause is noble, we sacrifice our time, money and creative energy for the endgame, which is for more viewers for "Supernatural", promotion, a better budget and demand stellar writing and direction. So, armed and ready we go into that dark night, after all there is NO REST FOR THE WICKED.

Eyecon April 4-6, 2008 in Orlando, Florida

I left for Orlando on Thursday morning and caught my flight out of Detroit. The flight actually left right on time and after a rather bumpy flight we made it into Orlando on time. I got off the plane and met up with Sammy. We traveled back and forth between the baggage claims trying to get my bags and then back and forth thru the baggage claims waiting for Megan and Lisa to get to the airport. When they finally got there we went to Chili’s Restaurant for some food cause we were all starving. We had a helluva time and I’m sure the staff thought we were nuts!!

Then we caught a cab and checked into the Florida Hotel where the Convention was being held. The hotel was HUGE and it was connected to a massive shopping mall. We decided to kill some time until Yas got to the hotel so we went shopping. Along the way we saw an M&M store and of course had to take pictures with the giant M&M at the entrance to the store. And right across from the store was a Hall of Fame store with sports memorabilia and at the entrance to that was a 2 foot Derek Jeter bobblehead. Of course I had to get my picture taken in front of that!! Then we went back to the hotel and waited in the lobby for Yas. After Yas got there we were sitting in the lobby and we saw Kenny & Voni who ran the Eyecon Convention. They invited us up for a chat and we sat with them for a while. Talk about 2 of the nicest people you will meet!!! Then we left K & V cause they had work to do and we went to Crickett’s for dinner. The restaurant was a little pricey but the food was good. Then we pretty much sat in the lobby for the rest of the evening and watched the celebs come in. Chad came in with what looked like his parents and checked in. He walked by and I gave him a smile. Then Gabe came in with a college buddy. He walked by and we said Hi to him. Sandy came in and looked cute as a button in her heavy jacket, ripped jeans, running shoes, no makeup and her hair in a pony. She’s so pretty she doesn’t need makeup. She had to go on her tippy toes when she was checking in cause she’s so tiny.

Friday we went to breakfast at Crickett’s (major expensive for a buffet) and then the girls wanted to go to Walmart but I stayed behind and lounged at the pool for a while until I got a text from Heather that she was arriving. I met up with her and we found out Dink was already there so we met up with her and chatted for a few. Lindsay arrived shortly after and we all met downstairs to greet her. I met up with Chrissy (one of the gals I roomed with) and we checked into our hotel room. I spent a good part of the afternoon after that just chillin in the lobby until it was time for registration. At 6:30 it was time for the Convention to start and the Meet & Greet with the Stars. After that we got to watch Jensen’s movie "Ten Inch Hero". What a great movie. Funny and happy and sad and entertaining. I truly enjoyed every moment of it and I can’t wait til it comes out on DVD cause I want to buy it!!!! And OMG Jensen looked so different and yet totally HOT! His character was great and had alot of great lines and those t-shirts he wore were hilarious!!! After the movie it was time for the Cocktail Party. I didn’t have a ticket for it and I’m glad I didn’t cause I wouldn’t have stuck around very long. I went and sat in the lobby for about a 1/2 hour and talked to a few people but I wasn’t feeling that great. I ended up with a really bad sore throat and I was really tired. I went to bed at around 11pm and was out of it til morning.

Saturday morning the Convention opened and to kill some time I ate at Starbucks with Lisa(Pentagram) and Heide and a few others and then I went up to the dealer room to check out what was for sale and got my Eyecon t-shirt and a couple pictures for autographs. At 10am Jim Beaver had his Q&A. He was alot of fun and seemed to be really enjoying himself on stage. He did the "idjits" line which was great and he was wearing a I Read John/Bobby shirt which was hilarious!!! I think he had on his Rock the Hat hat that a fan had sent him a while ago and that was cool. Of course that hour freakin flew by. They did a breakfast auction and the amount of money spent for each celeb was crazy. Oh how I wished I had money!!

Next was the Chad Lindberg, Samantha Ferris, Alona Tal Q&A. As usual Sam was great. She’s got such a presence when she’s on stage. Alona was a bit quiet cause she hadn’t slept after flying and being on a plane all night. But she was still cool! Poor girl! And Chad Lindberg was quiet yet kooky. LOL He’s alot like his character Ash. After their session finished Sandy McCoy(Jared Padalecki’s fiance for those who don’t know) had her Q&A on stage. She was so nervous but she did great on stage and she was alot of fun and her mannerisms and nervous quirks were a joy to watch. She has to be the most adorable person on the planet. Jared is one lucky guy to have a girl like her. She’s so down to earth and she clearly loves Jared very much as she beams when she talks about him. Gabriel Tigerman’s Q&A was next. He was very funny on stage even tho he seemed a bit nervous at first. I think he enjoyed himself and had a great time talking about SN and himself.

A few of us went to the Dealer room to take some pics of Alona, Sam, Chad, Gabe, Sandy and Steve since we were allowed to do that which was so awesome!!! After killing some more time down in the lobby(I think the hotel staff thought we were living there LOL) I had my Sandy photo-op. She was really cute and said Hi and I told her congrats on her engagement. We took the pic and I told her for her honeymoon to seriously consider Hawaii cause its the most beautiful place and that I’ve been there many times and love it. She said they’d actually talked about Hawaii as a honeymoon destination. I was like "Awesome" I thanked her and off I went.

I ran back up to the hotel room and grabbed my Jim Beaver picture cause it was time to get his autograph. That took a while cause he was personalizing everything but that was cool that they did that!!!!

I went up to the room again to change into my Hawaii dress for the Banquet and went back down to the lobby to hang until it was time to register. Terminator Red practically attacked me when I went up there. She grabbed my Eyecon pass to see what my number was and really loudly and kinda rudely said I was at the back of the line!! Between my space being invaded by some strange bitch and the yelling I was a little turned off. Of course I wasn’t the only one turned off by the one I call Terminator Red. Anywho I was too far in line to be able to sit with any of the celebs but I ended up a table away from Samantha Ferris. The dinner was alright and when it was time for dessert the waiter totally forgot our cake. I was like Hey I want some cake. I called the waitress over and told her they forgot our cake and she ran off to get our waiter. The whole table was laughing cause I wanted some cake so bad!! It was good cake dammit!!!! LOL After dinner our table chit chatted for a while and took a couple pictures to remember everyone. I noticed a few of the celebs were making their way to different tables but they didn’t come to ours. Then I went up to the room again to change and get out of my dress.

It was time for the Platinum Party and we all shuffled into the main room which was sectioned off so it was a bit smaller. We mingled among a few of the celebs in the room and took pictures of one another and Steve Carlson came in to sing a couple songs special for us Platinum Party goers. Then it was time to play Guitar Hero. Chad Lindberg got up and played and then Gabriel Tigerman came up and played Chad. We all sang along to the songs they played. We mostly all hung out at the far wall and watched everything and took pics. Getting near any of the celebs was near impossible as some people felt the need to hog them. Oh well. Not like I had much to say to them anyway!! LOL

Steve Carlson’s concert was next. He put on a great show as usual. Jim Beaver sat on one of the couches and watched. At one point he looked like he was asleep and we were laughing so hard. There was a girl sitting on the couch next to him who we assumed was Steve’s GF. For a good part of it she touched up her makeup, texted on the phone or went out for a cigarette. Wasn’t very into his singing until the end after she had a drink. We rolled our eyes and laughed our asses off at her cause she was kinda out of it. The pajama party was next but I was beat from my cold so I went to bed. From what I heard it wasn’t much of a party. I think most people were really tired and wanted to make sure they were up bright and early for Jared.

Jared’s Q&A was 9am Sunday morning. He was wonderful. So funny and friendly and he seems so down to earth. After his Q&A finished it was time for his photo-op session. I didn’t have a photo-op with him since I got one in Chicago but Sammy and I decided to camp out and wait for the Hunter’s shot(Jim & Jared). We had to wait about 2 hours for it but it was cool cause everyone kept walking by and stopping and talking to us. A few others joined us in line as well. LOL At my Hunter’s photo-op I walked up to Jim & Jared and said Hi to them. Then I looked at Jared and pointed my finger and said "You have to smile in the pic cause I wanna see them dimples" and I laughed. He said "If I wanna see dimples he’ll poke me in my cheeks" I was like OMG SQUEE!!! LOL I put my hands around both guys waists and we cozied up for the pic. I thanked them both and off I went in my glory!! LOL I must say that Jared is extremely tall and OMG gorgeous!!! I swear he gets better lookin every time I see him!!! Sandy is one lucky girl!!! After Jared’s photo-op sessions were done he came out of the room and met up with Gabriel Tigerman. The two of them exchanged greetings and smiles and gave each other a big hug. Then Jared pretended to kiss Gabe and Gabe pretended to climb Jared and it was hilarious. All this was done not 6 inches from me. If Jared had backed up he would have ran into me and I would have fallen over a table. The look on my face while this was going on was priceless...full of shock and amazement. LOL I hope someone got a pic of the guys. I know Lisa was trying to snap a photo and hopefully she got one!! LOL

Sammy and I went and camped out for the Roadhouse shot(Samantha, Chad & Alona) which we had missed the previous day cause they started and ended them early. It was a pretty uneventful photo. Sammy & I walked up we all said Hi to each other and figured out our positions for the photo cozied up and took the shot. We thanked them and then off we went.

Jared & Jim’s autograph session was next. We all went into the main room and waited for our row to be called. I got a couple pics of Jared while waiting in line for the autograph. A few of them were too blurry cause you couldn’t use flash up close. At least I got a couple of them to take. Jared personalized most people’s photos and as it got closer to the end of the line he had to just sign cause he had to leave to catch his flight back to Vancouver. Boy’s gotta get back to doing what he does best...Film SUPERNATURAL!!!

I was at the room when Jared left and I wished him a good flight. Not sure if he heard or not cause he had other people talking to him. I ran downstairs and perched myself in my favorite spot in the lobby to wait for him to leave. He came down with Sandy and Voni and out the door they went. Sandy came back a while later. It was the end of the convention! Boohoo!! Sammy & I spent the next while sitting in the lobby people watching and chatting with anyone walking by. We were all supposed to go out to City Walk but most of us were too tired. Lindsay, Jenn, Heather and Dink all went tho.

We found out from one of the guys at the Con that they were throwing an after-party for staff and guests that were still left in the hotel. Sammy & I went to go get some dinner at the mall and then went up to the after-party. It was in the games room with Nintendo Wii and Playstation and they had Rock Band and Guitar Hero and a bunch of other games. I played some ultimate fighter type game and did pretty well considering I haven’t played video games in years. Then Sammy & I played Guitar Hero. I felt like a total idiot cause I was really unco-ordinated at it. I didn’t do as bad as I thought tho. LOL Jim Beaver came in and was talked into playing Rock Band. He sang and it was so hilarious to watch. Then Steve Carlson came in and played Rock Band. He was playing guitar and then bass and then he sang for a while which was really cool. Chad came in and played Guitar Hero a couple times too. Samantha joined us in the room a while later and just talked to people and took pictures and signed some autographs. Megan, Yas and Lisa came in for a bit and then went outside. They came back up and were lookin for Steve Carlson and thought he had left but he was still in the room. Yas said he was the only one she hadn’t hugged and was too afraid to ask him. So I dragged her and Megan pushed her into the room and I went up to Steve and asked if he’d hug Yas. She looked so freaked out and at first so did Steve until Yas said he was the only one she hadn’t hugged. So he hugged her. BWAHAHAHA Then the girls left the room and Sammy & I hung out for a few more minutes before I needed some air cause I was getting light headed (Damn cold). Lindsay, Jenn & Dink came upstairs for a few minutes after they got back and then took off again. We decided to leave after they did cause it was getting late. We said our goodbye and thank you’s to Voni & Kenny & Larry and went and sat in the lobby where Yas, Lisa & Megan were waiting for pizza. They got their pizza and Sammy & I sat there for a little bit longer just chillin and then went up to the room to go to sleep.

Yesterday(Monday) morning we woke up and got our stuff ready and packed and checked out of the hotel room. Went downstairs and I grabbed something to eat and we chilled in the lobby until the cab got there. We got to the airport and we all found our airlines and said our goodbyes.

I had taken a few Nyquils before getting to the airport so waiting for my flight I was half asleep and got on the plane and sat down and zonked out until we took off. After take off I zonked out again for another hour until they served drinks. I got my drink and I was still tired so I hurried up and drank it and then went back to sleep until we were landing. The landing was a little rocky. We had a helluva crosswind and the plane felt like it was rocking back and forth and it was kinda scary as we got closer to the ground. We landed alright and then I met my Dad at the gate and came home. That was the end of my exciting weekend. I had a great time despite getting this damn cold and I can’t wait til the next Convention. Hopefully alot of the people I met at this one will be at that one!!! And I must say this Con kicks Creations ass in that it was so very fan friendly. There were many opportunities to mingle with the stars and just chat and hang with them. Creation you were lucky if you got to say "Boo" to them. At Eyecon you could get up close and get pics and not get shoed away by security. It was awesome!!!

No SN on CW's Post- Strike Schedule.....

LOS ANGELES -- The CW has announced its post-strike schedule, which as expected includes new seasons of "Pussycat Dolls Present," "Beauty and the Geek" and "America's Next Top Model."

Said seasons will anchor the netlet's Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday lineups, respectively.

In addition, new time periods have also been set for "Gossip Girl" (Mondays at 8:00/7:00c starting January 28) and its comedy quartet (Sundays at 8:00/7:00c starting February 10).

Furthermore, "Reaper" will return to the schedule on Tuesday, January 15 at 8:00/7:00c before sliding to Thursdays at 9:00/8:00c on February 28. ("Supernatural" will have completed airing its first-run episodes by said date.)

To review, here's a complete breakdown of the aforementioned plans:

This is complete and utter crap!!!!! I have emailed the CW to voice my disapproval of their new schedule. I am beyond pissed and beyond reasoning at this point. Dawn O is obviously trying to push SN out the door and this is her evil fucked up way of doing it. They are putting Reaper on in SN's place and they are putting the PCD on two times a week when they could clearly add SN into the scenario somewhere!!!! ARGH!!!!

I have heard people talk that they will probably put SN on in reruns during the summer, while that's all fine and dandy, people watch alot less tv during the summer. I know I certainly don't watch very much. I'd much rather see SN in reruns Mar-May when its still cold and people are stuck indoors. And with the lack of new programs maybe people will tune in. Plus they could put SN on a different night that may catch new viewers who normally watch something else on Thursday nights and haven't watched SN before. Not to mention it would give people something to watch other than the reality crap the networks are going to be bombarding us with!!!
